Develop an Android and iOS compatible app, for use on a smart phone and tablet.
UpworkContext: an onsite auditor is walking around a building and capturing sets of data based on areas of a building, for example offices, building approach, entrances, etc. There could be more than one auditor at the same building facilities capturing data based on the same categories and questions but covering different areas of the building.
App is based on a series of predetermined questions, all with ‘Yes’, ‘No’ and Not Applicable (‘NA’) responses. The questions are categorized into several categories, dependent on the building area, which can be selected multiple times (sequentially) if needed by the auditor (for example, there might be multiple sets of offices that they want to audit). Upon selection of a category, the predetermined questions are asked one at a time. ‘Yes’ responses add one count to a total of achieved accessibility criteria, and then the next question is asked. While a ‘No’ response adds one count to a total of accessibility criteria not achieved, and then the next question is asked. ‘No’ responses also generate a recommendation which is prepopulated based on the predetermined questions and some of the responses have attached drawings that accompany the recommendation. Both ‘yes’ and ‘no’ response’s questions allow the auditor to supplement the response with a photo or video and additional comment, which is ideally captured through voice to text application. Not applicable (NA) responses will allow for a series of predetermined questions to be skipped. Once the category is completed the main categories menu is available again to select a new category from, should the auditor choose to audit more of the building facility.
Once the questions from the various categories have been completed, at the auditor’s discretion, a report will be generated, containing all the recommendations from the ‘no’ responses and drawings as applicable and also containing a count of the achieved accessibility criteria (where the response was ‘yes’). There are 26 different categories, and each category has between 30 and 160 questions- depending on the complexity of the category. (Categories are Site Entrances and Exits, Site Circulation, Transit and Parking, Building Relationships, Outdoor Amenities, Building Entrances and Exits, Building Circulation, Work Spaces, Indoor Amenities, Food Services, Assembly Spaces, Toilet Rooms, Locker Rooms, Fitness, Sleeping Accommodation, Manufacturing/Warehouse and Labs, Retail, Information Transaction Kiosk, Customer Service and Facilities Management.)
The generated report should be in the form of an online platform where the data can be manipulated as needed, including changing responses, adding comments in text and inserting photos. The report should allow for printing to PDF. The platform should be able to be accessed when needed to update, change or add questions and responses.
