This position is located in the Cashier's Unit within the Financial Services of the Pension Administration of the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (“UNJSPF” or “the Fund”) - Pension Administration. The Cashier's Unit is responsible for directing and controlling the treasury activities of the Fund as well as managing the cash flow operations of the Secretariat, including the purchase and sale of currencies and the funding of bank accounts prior to payment schedules. The Unit also recommends and coordinates the implementation of periodic and non-recurrent payment systems for worldwide application, including the selection of banks, value dates, manual and electronic payment system. In addition, the Unit is responsible for establishing methods to interface the electronic payment systems into the existing infrastructure of the Pension Fund. The Senior Treasury Assistant reports to the Treasurer and the position is located in New York.
