Job Title: Android Developer/iOS Developer (Hybrid), Only W2

Location: Chicago, IL/Austin, TX - Hybrid

What You’ll Do

Design, build, and maintain Android features using Kotlin, Jetpack (Compose, Navigation, ViewModel, Room), and Coroutines/Flow.

Own end-to-end mobile delivery: requirements, technical design, implementation, testing, release, and monitoring.

Implement secure, performant integrations with REST/GraphQL APIs; handle auth, session, and sensitive data with best practices.

Improve app reliability with unit, instrumentation, and UI tests (JUnit, Espresso); raise coverage and reduce flaky tests.

Optimize app performance (startup time, rendering, network usage, battery) using Android Profiler, strict mode, and metrics.

Contribute to architecture (modularization, dependency management, DI—e.g., Hilt/Koin) and shared mobile libraries.

Collaborate with design and product to deliver accessible, localized, and inclusive experiences.

Participate in code reviews, RFCs, and technical roadmapping; mentor junior engineers and champion engineering excellence.

Leverage CI/CD (Gradle, GitHub Actions/Bitrise/Jenkins) for automated builds, tests, and releases to internal/external tracks.

Monitor production with logging, crash analytics (Crashlytics), and observability; triage incidents quickly and safely.

What You’ll Need

6+ years of Android development experience shipping consumer-grade apps at scale.

Experience with GraphQL, protobuf/gRPC, feature flags, remote config.

Strong proficiency with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and modern Android app architecture (MVVM/MVI/Clean).

Experience with Compose or deep experience with Views and transitions; strong understanding of material design patterns.

Knowledge of networking, offline-first, caching, and security (encryption at rest/in transit, secure storage, obfuscation).

Practical experience with testing (unit, integration, UI) and CI/CD for mobile.

Familiarity with performance profiling, accessibility standards, and internationalization/localization.

Strong collaboration skills and the ability to write clear, maintainable code and documentation.

Nice to Have

Payments/fintech domain experience; understanding of compliance constraints (e.g., PCI considerations for mobile).

Kotlin Multiplatform (KMM), modular monorepo practices.

Security-minded development: OWASP Mobile Top 10, secrets management, tamper detection.

6+ years of iOS development experience shipping consumer apps to the App Store at scale.

Experience with GraphQL, modular architectures, feature flags, remote configuration.

Strong proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI and/or UIKit, Combine, and modern iOS architecture principles.

Deep understanding of async/await, concurrency, memory management, and thread-safety.

Experience with testing (unit, snapshot, UI), CI/CD, and App Store release processes.

What You’ll Do

Build robust iOS features using Swift, SwiftUI and/or UIKit, Combine, and modern app architecture (MVVM/MVI/Clean).

Own feature delivery end-to-end: technical design, implementation, testing, release, and monitoring.

Integrate with REST/GraphQL services, ensuring data integrity, secure auth/session management, and error resilience.

Create comprehensive test suites (unit, snapshot, UI) with XCTest/XCUITest; increase reliability and reduce regressions.

Optimize performance (startup, rendering, memory, network, battery) using Instruments (Time Profiler, Allocations, Energy).

Contribute to modular architecture, shared components, and SDKs; advocate for maintainable APIs and documentation.

Partner with design/product to deliver accessible (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type), localized experiences across regions.

Participate in code reviews and technical design; mentor and share knowledge across the team.

Drive automation with Fastlane, Xcode Cloud/GitHub Actions/Bitrise, and robust release management (TestFlight).

Monitor production health via logging, crash analytics (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) and telemetry; respond to incidents effectively.

Nice to Have

Fintech/payments experience; awareness of compliance and secure transaction flows on mobile.

Experience with GraphQL, modular architectures, feature flags, remote configuration.

Knowledge of Swift Package Manager, custom frameworks, and binary distribution.

Security practices for iOS (Keychain, device attestation, jailbroken device detection, obfuscation/hardening).
