The primary purpose of the Security Officer is to ensure the safety of Employees/Guests, protect the buildings/grounds and serve as both a visual and physical deterrent to making the property unappealing to persons with ill intent. Your appearance, demeanor and professionalism will be a direct reflection of the quality and standards of VETERANS SECURITY CORPS SECURITY, INC.

  • Enforcing client and company policies and procedures
  • Badge Compliance
  • Property Movement Compliance
  • Regulating and directing parking lot traffic, as necessary
  • Escort employees to their vehicles, as requested
  • Respond, compile, and report all information about theft, alarms, accidents, and other incidents that may occur
  • Provide meal breaks for Security Officers where applicable
  • Observe and report all unusual activity
  • Report all building utility/ service issues.
  • Notify, assist, and direct emergency personnel as necessary
  • Provide security access of authorized personnel into building including visitors and their employee sponsors, client employees and / or contractors
  • Patrol, check, and or secure access areas into and onto client's premises, as well as highly sensitive locations within the buildings
  • Operate telephone and radio equipment
  • Monitor Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) and alarm panels for emergency and entrance into buildings
  • Prepare all required written reports, including but not limited to: Daily Activity Reports (DAR's) and Incident Reports

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Experience

  • Security: 2 years (Preferred)

License/Certification

  • Class D & G Security License (Required)
