Application Security Specialist

A company is looking for an Application Security Specialist to help identify vulnerabilities before they reach production.

Key Responsibilities

Review and assess upcoming features for potential security risks, collaborating with developers on high-risk projects

Conduct manual and exploratory security testing on features prior to release

Participate in team standups for multiple development teams, providing guidance and support as needed

Required Qualifications

Strong desire to learn and advance in application security

Some experience in software development, QA, or penetration testing

Familiarity with modern web applications and security fundamentals

Willingness to pursue certifications like OSCP or OSWA

Exposure to web app security testing or bug bounty programs is a plus
