Information System Security Officer

A company is looking for an Information System Security Officer (ISSO).

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the designated ISSO for federal information systems and maintain documentation for Authority to Operate (ATO) compliance

Conduct security scans, monitor findings, and collaborate with teams to remediate vulnerabilities

Represent the program in security briefings and coordinate with stakeholders to implement security controls

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 8 years of experience in information security or cybersecurity (12 years of experience without a degree)

Experience as an ISSO or in a similar security role supporting federal systems

Working knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST 800-53 security controls

Experience with ATO lifecycle management and security scans

Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
