Mobile Software Engineer - iOS/Android

Position Summary: Join our dynamic Emerging Tech team to build the mobile foundation for Project Sparky, an AI-powered assistant designed to enhance shopping experiences. In this role, you will design and scale high-performance iOS and Android systems, collaborating closely with AI/ML and Back End teams to create next-generation conversational experiences for millions of users.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance native mobile experiences used by millions of customers.
• Design mobile architectures that ensure optimal performance, reliability, and speed for rapid feature delivery.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and Back End teams to create intuitive user experiences.
• Lead discovery, prototyping, and technical direction for new mobile features.
• Write and maintain high-quality production code, focusing on debugging, performance optimization, and release readiness.
• Mentor team members and elevate mobile engineering practices across the organization.

Who We Are Hiring

Principal/Distinguished Engineers

• 10-20+ years of mobile engineering expertise.
• Extensive native experience in Swift/iOS and/or Kotlin/Android with a strong grasp of platform-level architecture.
• Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives with significant technical impact.
• Proven abilities to enhance mobile systems, boost performance, and optimize developer workflows.

Staff Engineers

• 7-10+ years of mobile engineering experience with comprehensive feature ownership in Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture, performance, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in mentoring engineers and influencing technical and design decisions.
• Proficient in taking features through the entire development lifecycle, from discovery to production.

Software Engineer III/Senior Software Engineers

• 3-7+ years of experience in native mobile development (Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android).
• Proven track record in delivering features, resolving complex issues, and enhancing code quality.
• Experience integrating Back End services and navigating large codebases.
• Desire to grow into a technical leadership role and tackle larger challenges.
