Our client is seeking a dedicated AI Ethics Researcher to contribute to the responsible development and deployment of artificial intelligence technologies in San Antonio, Texas, US . This role involves deep investigation into the ethical implications of AI, focusing on fairness, accountability, transparency, and societal impact. You will conduct rigorous research, develop ethical frameworks, and provide guidance on best practices for AI development teams. Key Responsibilities: Conduct cutting-edge research on ethical issues related to artificial intelligence. Analyze AI systems for potential biases, fairness concerns, and societal impacts. Develop and refine ethical frameworks, guidelines, and best practices for AI development and deployment. Collaborate with AI researchers, engineers, and product managers to integrate ethical considerations into the AI lifecycle. Evaluate the transparency and explainability of AI models. Research the impact of AI on various societal domains, including employment, privacy, and justice. Contribute to the development of policy recommendations and standards for responsible AI. Author research papers, reports, and white papers for academic and industry audiences. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to promote ethical AI discussions and awareness. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in AI, ethics, and relevant regulations. Identify and analyze emerging ethical risks associated with new AI technologies. Develop training materials and conduct workshops on AI ethics. Work on interdisciplinary teams to address complex ethical dilemmas.

Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Philosophy, Ethics, Sociology, Law, or a related field with a strong focus on AI ethics. Proven research experience in AI ethics, machine learning fairness, transparency, or related areas. Deep understanding of AI technologies, machine learning algorithms, and their applications. Familiarity with ethical theories and frameworks. Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly. Experience in collaborating with diverse technical and non-technical teams. Ability to conduct independent research and manage multiple projects. Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory landscapes concerning AI. Passion for advancing responsible and ethical AI development. Experience with data analysis and interpretation is a plus.
