This is a fully remote position, offering the chance to work on challenging problems from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying sophisticated machine learning models that drive product development, enhance user experience, and optimize business operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong theoretical foundation in statistics and machine learning, extensive hands-on experience with various ML algorithms and tools, and a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end development of machine learning models, from data collection and preprocessing to model training, evaluation, and deployment. Design and implement robust AI solutions for tasks such as predictive modeling, natural language processing, computer vision, and recommendation systems. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders, to identify opportunities for AI/ML applications. Clean, transform, and analyze large, complex datasets to extract meaningful patterns and insights. Select appropriate algorithms and techniques based on the problem domain and data characteristics. Develop and implement A/B testing frameworks and other experimental designs to validate model performance. Deploy machine learning models into production environments and monitor their performance over time. Stay current with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, deep learning, and related fields. Mentor junior data scientists and contribute to building a strong data science culture. Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ensure the ethical and responsible use of AI/ML technologies. Contribute to the development of internal tools and infrastructure for data science workflows. Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, with a strong focus on AI and Machine Learning. Proven expertise in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments. Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science, such as Python or R, and associated libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, NumPy). Strong understanding of various machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, deep learning) and statistical modeling techniques. Experience with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience with MLOps principles and tools is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting. Experience with NLP, computer vision, or reinforcement learning is advantageous.
