About the Role

CatFace is seeking a talented and dedicated full-time remote Video Editor to join our expanding team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth of our YouTube brand by creating engaging gaming content, primarily focused on Minecraft and other popular gaming platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming, video editing, and storytelling, with the ability to produce high-quality videos that resonate with our audience. Working on a schedule from Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, the Video Editor will support the content creation process by editing daily videos, adding visual and audio elements, and collaborating with the team to ensure brand consistency. This position requires adaptability, creativity, and a proactive approach to learning new editing techniques and industry trends. Candidates are encouraged to submit a comprehensive resume along with a portfolio or samples of previous work to demonstrate their expertise and creative flair.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in editing "Let's Play" style gaming content
• Deep understanding of the YouTube platform and current content trends
• Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, etc.
• Experience with gaming platforms such as Minecraft and Roblox
• Knowledge of technical aspects like audio syncing, frame rates, and rendering
• Creative mindset with a passion for gaming and entertainment content
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for asset management
• Ability to learn and implement new editing techniques and best practices

Responsibilities

• Assist in editing and producing daily Minecraft and gaming videos for the Aphmau channel
• Add text, visuals, sound effects, and music to enhance video content and ensure brand consistency
• Collaborate with the editing team to maintain streamlined workflows and organized assets
• Stay updated on emerging editing trends and incorporate innovative styles into videos
• Support the team in updating editing and rendering best practices
• Ensure videos are optimized for YouTube platform requirements and audience engagement
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for content improvement and innovation
• Assist in troubleshooting technical issues related to video production
