About The Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented video editor to join our expanding team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of direct response (DR) advertising environments and a talent for crafting compelling stories through influencer and user-generated content (UGC). The successful candidate will be responsible for editing high-converting assets utilizing UGC and stock footage across our entire acquisition funnel. This includes creating high-energy advertisements for platforms such as Meta and TikTok, long-form YouTube content, and broadcast-quality TV spots. The role requires a keen eye for storytelling, a solid grasp of platform-specific formats, and the ability to adapt quickly to evolving content trends.

Qualifications
- 3-5 years of professional video editing experience, particularly with influencer, UGC, and stock footage for direct response campaigns
- Proven experience creating high-performing paid social ads with conversion-focused objectives
- Strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling ability and successful content repurposing for performance goals
- Experience editing videos tailored for YouTube and other online platforms
- Deep understanding of paid social video formats and online video delivery standards
- Ability to edit existing TV content and adapt it for digital formats
- Excellent knowledge of design principles, typography, color theory, and composition
- Proficiency with editing tools such as FinalCut, After Effects, Frame.io, Premiere Pro, and Figma
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across teams
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and iterate quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Receptiveness to feedback and iterative design processes
- Edit raw footage into polished direct response videos with engaging cuts, transitions, graphics, captions, and sound design
- Optimize and adapt videos for various platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and others, ensuring proper formatting and styling
- Make quick edits to existing TV content to suit digital campaigns
- Create engaging YouTube videos by leveraging b-roll and other content from internal libraries
- Stay updated on current video trends, editing styles, and content formats to inform creative direction
- Collaborate with paid social strategists, influencer managers, and other stakeholders to align messaging, tone, and creative strategies
- Enhance and evolve Ethos influencer allowlisting and UGC videos to meet ROAS targets
- Design and produce a high volume of video edits based on briefs or original concepts, including storyboarding and presenting ideas before production
- Identify and pitch innovative ideas that create business or user value, with an interest in art direction
- Apply best practices for video creative within brand guidelines and across paid social landscapes
- Utilize data and performance metrics to refine and improve creative assets
- Competitive US national base salary ranging from $105,000 to $185,000, commensurate with experience and location
