About The Role
The Video and Motion Graphics Editor at Rising Tide Interactive is a vital creative professional responsible for conceptualizing, producing, and delivering compelling political video content tailored for digital platforms. This role requires a highly skilled, innovative, and adaptable individual with a minimum of four years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of digital video best practices, and the ability to translate scripts into engaging visual stories. Working closely with the Creative team, the editor will manage multiple projects from inception to completion, utilizing original footage, stock media, visual effects, animation, and sound design to craft persuasive content that motivates viewers to take action. Flexibility to work remotely or from our Washington, DC office is available, with the position running through November 2026, with potential for extension based on mutual agreement and business needs. The role demands a proactive approach, excellent communication skills, and a passion for political advocacy and digital storytelling.

Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in video editing and motion graphics design
- Proven experience creating video content for digital platforms and social media, particularly in political or advocacy contexts
- Strong knowledge of the entire video production process from concept to final output
- Experience with media asset management platforms
- Understanding of social media video specifications and tactics (Reels, Stories, TikTok, etc.)
- Exceptional project management skills with the ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
- Quick editing skills with an eye for typography, design fundamentals, pacing, and storytelling
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and solve problems creatively
- Interest or experience in Democratic politics is preferred
- Knowledge of current digital video trends and best practices
- Proficiency with editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or equivalent
- Take video projects from script to finished product, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and creative direction
- Balance multiple projects at various stages of production, managing timelines effectively
- Develop innovative visual concepts based on provided scripts and collaborate with team members to execute ideas
- Utilize original footage, stock media, and visual effects to craft engaging videos
- Incorporate audio effects, graphics, text, and animation to enhance storytelling
- Keep abreast of emerging trends and best practices in digital video and social media content creation
- Assist with remote video shoots, including setup and technical support as needed
- Source and manage stock footage, voiceover artists, and background sound assets
- Ensure the highest quality standards in all video outputs
- Communicate project status, challenges, and timelines clearly with team members and stakeholders
- Competitive salary band of $80,000–$95,000
