About The Role
As a Video Producer / Editor at Marketing for Change, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual narratives that drive social change. You will serve as the lead on video projects, managing them from initial concept to final delivery. This role requires a creative, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about using video as a tool for positive influence. Your work will involve producing a wide range of content including social shareables, short-form videos for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, as well as traditional broadcast spots. You will be responsible for editing high-quality videos that evoke emotion, tell compelling stories, and motivate viewers to take action. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing all aspects of production, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and applying behavioral science insights to creative content. Qualifications
- Proficiency in video editing software, preferably Adobe Premiere
- Experience managing video projects from concept through final edit, including scripting, shooting, and post-production
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience planning and managing all phases of video production, including shot list creation, budgeting, location scouting, and timeline management
- Ability to hire and coordinate production crews such as directors of photography, sound technicians, and production assistants
- Experience casting talent, both actors and non-actors
- Proven experience producing social-first video content for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- Ability to incorporate static and motion graphics into video content
- Interest in applying behavioral science principles to creative work to promote behavior change
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members
- Self-motivated learner who keeps up with evolving video technologies and trends
- Willingness to travel moderately (10-15%) within the U.S.
- Lead and oversee video projects from initial kickoff through final delivery, serving as the primary owner and point of contact
- Edit and produce high-quality videos that capture attention, evoke emotion, and effectively tell stories aligned with social impact goals
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of video production, including pre-production planning, on-site filming, and post-production editing
- Develop shot lists, manage budgets, scout locations, and create production timelines to ensure efficient workflow
- Recruit and manage production crews, including hiring directors of photography, sound technicians, and production assistants
- Casting talent for videos, including both actors and non-actors, to best suit project needs
- Produce social media content optimized for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- Integrate static and motion graphics into video content to enhance storytelling and engagement
- Apply behavioral science insights to craft videos that motivate real-world behavior change
- Collaborate with creative directors, writers, designers, and researchers to develop innovative and effective creative solutions
- Guide clients through the production process, managing expectations, incorporating feedback, and ensuring timely delivery
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve production workflows and team efficiency
